WVL- Wireless Valve Output Module

The Hunter WVOM (Wireless Valve Output Module) or WVOM-E (international versions) is designed for installation in a compatible controller output module slot.

The WVOM installs like any other Hunter station output module. The WVOM can coexist with conventional Hunter ICM modules and/or the EZDM output module. The best practice is to install any ICMs in the first (lowest-numbered) slots so the engraved station numbering in the controller chassis aligns correctly with the conventional output terminals.

Add the WVOM in the next slot available to simplify future service.

The WVOM is designed to operate with Hunter WVL (Wireless Valve Link) devices only. It is not compatible with any other manufacturer’s devices. WVL requires Hunter DC latching solenoids (PN-458200), which can be retrofitted to almost any existing Hunter valve.

Installation
WVL Installation
  1. Engage the Tabs in the output module slot, and tip into place until the connector is fully seated.
  2. Slide the locking Lever to the horizontal position to lock the module into place.
  3. Press and release the Reset button on the back of the facepack so the new module is recognized. The controller will now have a maximum 54-station size.
  4. When the controller is powered, the module LED lights will illuminate, and then show a constant green light to show the module has power and is ready to communicate.

After installation, the light is shown briefly as the module powers up.

Station Programing
WVL Station Programming

The WVOM has no built-in controls; only LEDs to show status. All programming and diagnostics are done with the free Bluetooth WVL App, available for iOS® or Android® from their respective app stores.

  1. Open the App on a smartphone. The app will begin immediately scanning for Wireless Valve Output Modules within a range of roughly 50' (15 m) line of sight.
  2. A list of available Wireless Valve Output Module devices within Bluetooth range will appear, identified by serial number.
  3. Select the Wireless Valve Output Module and click Connect. The blue LED on the selected Wireless Valve Output Module will light up when connected to the phone.
  4. Consult the Wireless Valve Link installation guide for programming station addresses into the Wireless Valve Links.

Note: The Hunter WVL APP is designed for WVL programming and the app. There is no station manual operation feature within diagnostics.
