The radius of throw, or distance the water sprays, on Hunter spray nozzles can be adjusted by turning the center screw on top of the nozzle. All nozzles come from the factory in the fully open position. To reduce the radius, use a flathead screwdriver to turn the adjustment screw clockwise.

Ensure that the nozzle is fully screwed down onto the pop-up or shrub body assembly.

To decrease the radius, hold the top of the nozzle edge using your hand. Next, turn the screw in the clockwise direction using a small flathead screwdriver. If you need to reduce the radius by more than 25%, install a smaller radius nozzle for this location.
