Highly robust and versatile Hunter Spiral Barb Elbows use a series of graduated barbs to create a spiral barb to sealing barb design that drives the fitting securely into the tubing while ensuring a strong connection. Hunter Spiral Barb Elbows are easy to install, provide an extremely durable connection, and are designed for use with all brands of tubing. Customize your own connection using the materials and steps listed below.
Materials:
- HSBE-050 (black) for ½" inlet spray bodies
- HSBE-075 (gray) for ¾" inlet rotors
- FlexSG Tubing 100' roll (30 m)
- FlexSG-18 Tubing: 18" (46 cm) segments sold in a box of 200
It's easy to customize connections with Hunter Spiral Barb Elbows. Here's how to get started:
Using a PVC cutter or the Hunter Emitter Multi-Tool (P/N HEMT), cut the desired length of the FlexSG Tubing.
Thread on the HSBE elbow connector to the PVC pipe location. For ½" female threads, use the HSBE-050. For ¾" female threads, use the HSBE-075.
Using the cut length of FlexSG Tubing, thread onto the HSBE elbow until hand tightened.
Thread on the second HSBE elbow to the end of the sprinkler head. Turn clockwise to tighten by hand.
Insert the threaded end of the elbow into the FlexSG Tubing. Turn clockwise using the sprinkler head until hand tightened.
Adjust sprinkler height according to the installation guidelines. Backfill with soil.
