Installing the SRP Software

The SRP software can be used with the Windows 3.1, Windows 95, or Windows 98 operating systems. Installation is very simple.

  1. Insert the SRP disk into your computer’s 3.5-inch disk drive.
  2. In Windows 3.1: From the Program Manager, select File, then Run. or In Windows 95 and 98: Click on the Start button, then select Run from the program list.
  3. In the Command Line box (Windows 3.1) or Run Window (Windows 95 and 98), type: A: setup.exe
  4. Allow the installation program to run. The screens that appear will guide you through the process.
  5. When you’re asked, install the program in the suggested directory, SRP (recommended), unless you have an existing directory that you prefer.
  6. Once setup is complete, you can use the SRP program immediately.

Note: In Windows 95 or 98, you can complete the installation by dragging the SRP icon onto your desktop in order to make starting the program easier:

A) Wait for the SRP program window to display at the end of the installation.

B) Move the cursor over the SRP icon, hold down the left mouse button, and drag the icon from inside the window onto the desktop. Release the mouse button when the icon is where you want it.

C) The next time you start your computer, simply click on the SRP icon on the desktop to start the program.
