Hunter Rotor Pitot Gauge

The easiest of the rotor pressure gauges to use, the Rotor Pitot Gauge (part #05-2801) has a tube that is placed directly in front of the primary nozzle stream for an accurate working pressure reading. This gauge will work on all Hunter rotor sprinklers, as well as almost any other manufacturer's rotors.

Nozzle Insertion Collar

The Hunter Nozzle Insertion Collar (part #05-1232) snaps firmly in place around the riser of all Hunter 3/4" and 1" inlet professional and institutional series rotors. Once in place, the collar allows access to the nozzle opening for insertion or removal of either sprinkler nozzles or the Hunter Rotor Pressure Gauge.

An accurate way to determine pressure right at the sprinkler nozzle, the Rotor Pressure Gauge (part #05-1299) will work on Hunter PGP, I-20 (only if manufactured prior to January 1997), I-25 (only if manufactured prior to October 1995) and I-40. To install the Rotor Pressure Gauge, you must first back out the set screw and remove the nozzle, then insert the gauge and re-tighten the set screw down to hold the gauge in place during operation. In some cases it may be necessary to add 1-3 psi to the overall pressure due to pressure loss through the secondary nozzle on some rotors.

The Handbook of Technical Irrigation Information

The first comprehensive reference manual that details all technical specifications for landscape irrigation is now available from Hunter Industries. Entitled "The Handbook of Technical Irrigation Information," this thorough guide is designed to assist irrigation professionals who are involved in the planning and installation of residential and commercial systems.

The Handbook contains more than 130 pages and is available as a PDF or spiral bound book. It is divided into four sections: Formulas, Conversions, Tables and Friction Loss. Each section is illustrated with charts, graphs and site drawings where applicable.

Section one focuses on formulas to determine precipitation rates, friction factors, scheduling coefficients and other vital information. Section two includes conversion factors such as imperial and metric equivalents for flow, temperature, and area. Section three is a compilation of easy to read tables for water supply requirements and approximate flow rates. Section four consists of friction loss charts for virtually all standard sizes and classes of pipe such as PVC, copper and polyethylene.
