Proper Installation of ICC ModulesRecently, Hunter introduced the ICC, a revolutionary new residential and commercial controller. Featuring a modular design, this universal controller can be used anywhere an easily programmed, solidly constructed indoor or outdoor controller is needed.
The ICC can be "customized" for the needs of each individual project (from 8-32 stations in the plastic cabinet; from 8-48 stations in the metal cabinet). The controller comes ready to use as an 8-station base unit and, with the addition of 4-station or 8-station modules, a plastic cabinet ICC can become one of seven different-sized controllers, while one ICC in a metal cabinet offers the option of eleven different sizes. For example: if your landscape requires a 22-station controller, you would start with the base unit (8 stations) and add two 8-station modules for a total of 24 available stations. Say you later decide to increase the number of stations required to 27, you would add a 4-station module to make a total of 28 available stations. Had you needed to increase to 30 stations, you instead would have selected a third 8-station module to bring your total of available stations up to 32. As Easy as 1-2-3 Installing additional station modules in the ICC is not only fast, it's easy. But, in order to have the controller work properly, the modules must be installed correctly:
Please note that each module has a place for the connection of a field common wire. For systems with a single common, you only need to connect the common to any single common terminal. And don't worry about losing previously programmed information during this power outage - the ICC controller has non-volatile memory, which means the entire watering program will be retained (even without a battery). |
