Hunter Controllers Equipped to Handle Watering Restrictions
If you’re looking for an ally in your battle with water restrictions, put a Hunter controller on the front lines. Whether it’s the economical SRC, professional-grade Pro-C, or top-of-the-line ICC, all Hunter controllers are ready to meet the ever-tougher requirements being set by today’s governments. Odd/Even Watering. The 365-day calendar in each Hunter controller makes it possible for you to accommodate one of the most implemented water restriction programs in the nation. Your system will only operate on the correct days (even during leap years) and you’ll never need to mess with the controller each month to get this straight – it’s all done for you, automatically, all year long. You Choose the Days. Daily schedules in a Hunter controller’s different programs may be set up individually from each other. This ability to customize a watering program makes it possible to meet virtually any type of restrictions your region may place on water use. Select day of the week to water only on certain selected days, such as Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Choose interval watering (ICC and Pro-C only) to irrigate on a repeating day cycle, anywhere from 1 to 31 days. This feature is ideal for “every third day” watering, probably the nation’s second most implemented restriction program. Rain Sensors. All Hunter controllers allow for easy connection of any rain or weather sensor device. Hunter offers three different rain sensors (Mini-Clik®, Rain-Clik™ and Wireless Rain-Clik™), as well as a freeze sensor (Freeze-Clik), wind sesnor (Wind-Clik®) and combination rain/freeze/wind sensing device (Mini-Weather Station). Hunter weather sensors provide the simplest, most effective way to prevent an irrigation system from operating during or after inclement weather. Hunter rain sensors shut sprinklers off whenever precipitation occurs, thus saving a valuable resource (water) when the weather makes it unnecessary to continue with a regularly scheduled application. With the list of states and municipalities that are requiring the inclusion of a rain sensing device on all new installations growing each year, adding a water-saving Hunter sensor to a water-saving Hunter controller is the smart thing to do. |
