More (New) Nozzle Options Make Hunter Sprays the Choice for Small Area IrrigationAs an irrigation designer, one of the constant challenges to overcome is finding a way to efficiently irrigate smaller landscape areas. Since these smaller sections can include a wide assortment of planted material – everything from turf to shrubs to the most delicate flowers – it stands to reason that no single nozzle should provide all your irrigation answers.
Whether you choose to use the new Pro-Spray or Institutional Spray, or prefer the popular SRS, Hunter should be considered your sprinkler of choice because it is the sprinkler of choices. Now, the line-up of nozzle choices for all Hunter sprays is so wide ranging, one is certain to meet your particular needs. The latest additions to the roster are the new Short Radius Nozzles (in 2-, 4- and 6-foot) uniquely crafted for turf areas with smaller radius. Standard spray nozzles typically cover the 7- to 15-foot range, making effective coverage of smaller areas difficult at best. This trio of new nozzles will precisely irrigate just the area you want to, without wasting water beyond your desired radius. These nozzles are available in traditional quarter- and half-circle patterns for precise watering of narrow strips. For shrubs and flower beds, use Hunter’s revolutionary Pop-Up Micro-Spray Nozzles. Sending out a finer spray than regular nozzles that will not disturb or damage plants with which they might come in contact, these new nozzles provide excellent coverage with an accurate distribution of water for a 4-6 foot radius. Perfect for areas where a low application rate is desired. Another recently added nozzle choice is the Pressure Compensating Bubbler Nozzle (PCN). Sitting atop a riser that retracts into the ground when not in use, the PCN bubbler uses no fancy filtration or unsightly above-ground tubes, making it the perfect alternative to drip for individual tree or shrub watering…and the most tamper-proof, eye-appealing method of deep watering available today. These new offerings join other Hunter nozzle choices, including: Adjustable Arc Nozzles (1-360 degrees); Fixed Pattern Nozzles in quarter, half and full-circle patterns: Strip Pattern Nozzles, for long, narrow planting areas; and a dial-setting, adjustable Stream Spray Nozzles, perfect for slopes and planting beds. Now, more than ever, whatever needs you have for a spray, Hunter has the nozzle to get the job done. |
