New “Leave Behind” DVD Available to Help Customers Maintain Their SystemsYou can’t really be there every time something happens to your customers’ irrigation systems. And you shouldn’t need to be there. There’s a lot that they can take care of themselves.
The new DVD has been designed as the ideal “leave behind” for homeowners with new systems—a convenient reference source for adjustments and minor troubleshooting. “The DVD features information you want your customer to look at before they call you for help, so they can avoid a service call,” said Dina Newcomb, Hunter multi-media administrator, who oversaw the development and production of the disk. One of the most common callback requests concerns controller programming. The DVD shows homeowners the basic set up of the controller—how to set start times, run times, stations, etc.—so they won’t need to call you “right away.” Newcomb said the DVD package can be customized with your company’s name and a checklist of what products on the disk are installed in the customer’s system. “It’s a high quality piece and when you put your company name on it, it helps give you a high quality image,” she said. “It’s one of those little extras that can set you apart from the competition by making you look more professional.” Hunter Preferred Contractor Program members can use their program Points to obtain the system maintenance DVD.
