Hunter “Proven Water Saver” Products
With water conservation becoming a topic of ever-increasing importance, Hunter Industries has assembled the “Proven Water Saver” family of products. Encompassing all major component categories—rotors, sprays, valves and controllers—the Proven Water Saver line makes it easier for installers and designers to create a more efficient system.
“While the Proven Water Saver name may be new, the products that wear the name are well-established and time-proven,” said Jeff Carowitz, Hunter Vice President Marketing. “We didn’t just now decide to make these products water efficient; they already have been since they were introduced. We simply decided to highlight their water saving capabilities to help designers and installers know exactly which products best address those needs.
“Of course, all Hunter irrigation products have been developed with water efficiency in mind. It’s just that these particular products deliver our highest level of water savings and allow you to achieve the ultimate in conservation.”
Look for the Proven Water Saver logo on select Hunter products as the symbol of guaranteed results and optimum efficiency:
- I-60 Rotor. This large turf rotor meets the demands of systems with low pressures that want to avoid the energy costs associated with a booster pump. The rotor provides a cost-efficient and water-efficient solution. And because the I-60 also eliminates the need to install larger pipe, additional cost savings can be realized.
- Institutional Spray. These rugged sprinklers are designed for use on high traffic commercial, institutional, and public areas. An in-stem pressure regulator maintains maximum nozzle efficiency (reducing water waste) regardless of inlet pressure under a wide range of environmental conditions. Can save up to 30% in water waste by eliminating misting and fogging
- ICC Controller. Hunter’s top-of-the-line modular controller lets you configure the unit to the number of stations you need—from 8 to 48—simply by adding modules in 8-station increments. The ICC offers outstanding water management from a variety of features, such as Cycle and Soak capability by station (allows run times to be divided into repeat cycles to minimize run-off) and seasonal adjustment (simple one-button reprogramming for changes in weather conditions).
- Accu-Set™ Pressure Regulator. Available as an option on PGV and ICV valves, Accu-Set permits adjustment and regulation of pressures from 20 to 100 PSI, with the assurance that the setting selected will never waver. By reducing operating pressure, water use is lowered and that, in turn, lowers costs.
- Mini-Clik®, Rain-Clik™ and Wireless Rain-Clik™. Nothing is more wasteful or costly than operating an irrigation system when it doesn’t need to…during or immediately after rain. This trio of Hunter rain sensors automatically shuts off a system in rainy weather and then re-starts after a dry-out period with parameters that you can specify.
- HCV Check Valve. A simple addition to any Hunter sprinkler product, the HCV prevents loss of water from system pipes in sloped areas by eliminating low head drainage after the irrigation cycle is completed. The HCV easily adjusts to compensate for elevation changes up to 32 feet.
Hunter is among the world’s leading manufacturers of irrigation equipment for turf, landscape, and golf.
