Hunter Introduces Three New Drip Control Zone AssembliesHunter has announced the addition of three new items to their ever-expanding line-up of irrigation products. The ICZ, PCZ, and PACZ drip control zone kits address the needs of residential and commercial landscape sites that are increasing the use of drip irrigation as water resources become more and more scarce. Why would you need a drip zone kit? A system’s incoming water pressure (typically 40-60 PSI) is well above the maximum range of press-fit barbed fittings. The pressure must be brought down to a safe operating range or the force of the incoming water will cause leaks or even ruptures of the connections. Hunter’s drip control zone assemblies include a filter to prevent debris that can clog up a drip system from ever getting downstream. The ICZ, PCZ, and PACZ have been designed to specifically deal with two very different issues: combining the low flow/low pressure requirements of drip with the higher pressures commonly present at residential and commercial job sites. These new products are convenient all-in-one kits, offering the superior performance of a Hunter valve along with a stainless steel filter and high flow pressure regulator. The ICZ features the ICV, Hunter’s top-of-the-line valve, as its centerpiece. The ICV delivers unsurpassed durability and the ability to constantly witrhstand pressures up to 220 PSI. And, because the kit includes pressure regualtion that ensures a consistent 25 PSI, the ICZ makes it possible to accommodate drip needs in an environment where it would normally be impossible to do so. The main element of the PCZ kit is the PGV Jar-Top valve, featuring high-grade material construction including a bonnet made of glass-reinforced nylon designed to handle the toughest conditions a job site can offer. Additional durability comes courtesy of a standard stainless steel screen, available in 100 and 150 mesh sizes. Rounding out the elements of the kit is a pressure regulator that maintains the outlet pressure at 25 PSI. For sites that require atmospheric backflow prevention, the PCZ is also available in a version (PACZ) that features an anti-siphon valve. With everything pre-assembled in the right order, the ICZ, PCZ, and PACZ provide hassle-free ways to install a control zone on commercial jobs. Hunter is among the world’s leading manufacturers of irrigation equipment for turf, landscape, and golf. |
