Technology
Hunter factories are recognized as models of “vertical integration.” Unlike other irrigation equipment manufacturers, Hunter produces the components used in the assembly of their products right at their factories. Most of the tooling, molding, manufacturing, and assembly machinery is designed and built on-site by Hunter engineers. Thousands of parts are molded daily, from tiny, intricate gears to large sprinkler bodies, using over 75 different types of plastic. New materials and new manufacturing technologies, such as sonic welding, are continually integrated into the production process.
Testing
Hunter’s irrigation test facility in San Marcos, California, is one of the most advanced testing labs in the industry. Product performance is tested to ensure value and reliability, using simulated field conditions as well as on-site conditions.
