From the CEO – A Message from Richard Hunter, November 2000

Fall is here and another year draws to a close. For most in the irrigation business, the season is over and it’s time to slow down. But, for us, here at Hunter, things are just heating up.

With the annual Irrigation Association Expo upon us, this is the time of year in which we typically introduce the newest additions to our product line. This year is no exception. But what is different is that this year we are introducing so many new products with so high a profile at the same time.

It has been our company’s goal for a long time to provide a wide assortment of sprays, rotors, valves and controllers that bear the Hunter name and could all be combined into a variety of irrigation systems, each custom-crafted to meet the needs of a different landscape. In other words, a Complete Hunter System.

Take one combination of components and you’d have just the right system for a small residential customer. Put together another combination of different products and you’d have the perfect system for a moderately-sized commercial property. Assemble yet another grouping of goods and you’d create the ideal mix for a professional sports field. And so on and so on.

Until now, this was just a dream. Wishful thinking. The trouble was that, as good as our products proved to be, we simply didn’t have enough breadth available in order to create a system for each different type of project. So, even the biggest Hunter fans were forced to substitute a product that was good, but not quite right – like a commercial or institutional site using SRS spray heads – or even (and we shudder at the thought) turn to a product from the competition.

With the introduction of our three newest products (the Pro-Spray, the Institutional Spray and the Pro-C Controller), we have filled in the gaps in our product line and have finally made it possible for every type of landscape to benefit from the best irrigation solution available…a Hunter Complete System.

These new products represent our company’s continuing effort to create, produce and deliver the highest quality products in the irrigation industry. And, as always, we maintain our steadfast commitment to providing these products to you, our valued customers, with the utmost degree of high quality service.

Knowing that these new additions to the Hunter product line have come as a direct response to your requests, we anticipate that their rollout will be met with great acceptance. We are pleased to once again deliver what you, the customer, ask for…and we look forward to providing more solutions that work for many years into the future.
