About Hunter: Growth and Expansion
Hunter has been outpacing both the general industry and, in almost all key segments, its competition in terms of overall sales and segment market share growth. Hunter’s product diversification strategy has continued to show strong results, with worldwide gains posted during the most recent fiscal year available. Despite intensified competition, Hunter continues to grow in the rotor market - the company’s core source of sales and the segment in which it has always been the dominant player. And more than 20 years after inventing the rotor segment, Hunter continues to expand its rotor line. Today, Hunter continues its pace of offering relevant and customer-friendly innovation with new products such as the ACC Controller, its most powerful and advanced controller ever produced. ACC provides new levels of convenience and versatility with real-time flow monitoring technology for the ultimate in control. The all-new ACC is also offered in a decoder model, ACC-99D providing an affordable means of using this technology in the residential/commercial market without contractors having to learn an entirely new operating system. Hunter is also in the growing golf course irrigation market with the purchase of Legacy Golf. Known as Hunter Golf, the division manufactures and markets a complete system of golf irrigation products, including Hunter Golf rotors and valves, central/satellite control systems, decoders, software programs, data retrieval devices and more. Hunter Golf systems address the key concerns of today’s golf course superintendent: the efficient use of labor, energy and water. With Hunter Golf’s new central control package and Surveyor software programs, all golf course irrigation functions can now be monitored and controlled via desktop computers. Hunter Industries has also introduced a line of sensors that gauge inclement weather and prevent sprinklers from running when conditions are not optimal. For example, an automatic sprinkler system with a Hunter sensor will shut off when it is raining, excessively windy or freezing. The sensors are known as the Hunter Mini-Clik, Hunter Freeze-Clik, Hunter Wind-Clik, Hunter Mini-Weather Station and Hunter Flow-Clik. |
