Hunter Industries recently earned the WaterSense Excellence Award for the third time! Each year, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) presents the award to organizations that excel at helping consumers and businesses save water. Hunter was recognized for its efforts to increase the visibility of WaterSense labeled products.

EPA WaterSense is a national volunteer program that certifies water-saving products, making it easy for specifiers and consumers to identify devices that meet the EPA’s criteria for efficiency and performance.

To date, Hunter has earned WaterSense certification for 12 spray sprinkler bodies and 54 irrigation controllers. But receiving this prestigious recognition requires more than just earning certifications for products.

In 2023, the company’s free online educational portal, Hunter University, offered 22 trainings and 12 live webinars featuring their WaterSense certified products. Hunter also clearly labeled these certified products in their catalogs and online resources while directly sharing the value of WaterSense products with nearly 1,600 landscape professionals who visited the company’s headquarters. In addition, the company introduced three new LEED design guides that identified the labeled products. They also interviewed EPA WaterSense representatives for a special Focus on Design chat.

Going forward, Hunter plans to continue investing in the development of innovative, water-efficient products. They’re also doing their part to positively influence specifiers and consumers to choose products that best support water conservancy. Click to learn more about Hunter and EPA WaterSense.
